Factors affecting use of electronic Academic information system among academic staff at High Institute of Health Sciences Sana'a Yemen - 2015

Abstract

This study intends to identify the Factors affecting the use of electronic Academic information system among academic staff at High Institute of Health Sciences at Sana'a city. It examined the academic staff using the electronic resources, the factors affecting resource utilization. The study was a descriptive, quantitative. The study population was the academic staff in HIHS, which there 116 teachers. The researcher used to survey in sampling method. The data gathered by built questionnaire and checklist. The program that used to analyze this data was the SPSS Version 21. To found the frequency and percentage. The Findings reveal that most academic staff are aware of the system, but do not utilize them. Furthermore, a number of factors affect electronic information resources' utilization like adequate training, lack of equipment's, absent the supporting from the deanship or system management. The study recommends enhancement of using the system. Provision of equipment's and training the staff to increased using the system.
