Feedback has had a revolutionary influence in practically all areaswhere it has been used and will continue to do so; it desires a simple andeffective feature of a control algorithm. The emerging features of automatictuning have greatly simplified the use of PID controller; a nonlinearoptimization technique based on sequential quadratic programming (SQP)technique is used for obtaining the tuning parameters of the PID controller. The proposed PID tuning based on SQP technique shows superiority andeffectiveness in controlling stable and unstable nonlinear systems.en_US
