Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), which is much more common, has a strong genetic component as well as a significant association with obesity and a sedentary lifestyle. At present, approximately 425 million adults suffer from diabetes which caused four million deaths globally in 2017. It was difficult to find the exact prevalence of T2DM in Yemen population due to lack of studies. Objectives: The aim of this research was to estimate the association between diabetes mellitus type 2 and traditional Yemen diet among attendant Patients in USTH clinics, Sana'a 2024.
