خلاصة

This cross-sectional descriptive study assessed nutritional status among 82 Yemeni children with autism spectrum disorder and evaluated caregivers' perceptions and knowledge at four autism rehabilitation centers in Sana'a. The sample included children with acute malnutrition, underweight, overweight, and obesity, and many caregivers reported unbalanced diets and feeding barriers. The findings indicate a need to increase caregiver awareness and further investigate the effects of atypical eating behaviors on growth and development.
