Adjusting incisal embrasures in the dental prostheses is an important factor of esthetics. This study aimed to compare the incisal embrasures of the prosthetically restored maxillary anterior teeth (RMAT) with those of the natural maxillary anterior teeth (NMAT) in a group of Yemeni adults aged between 18-30 years old. An examination case sheet was used for collecting demographic and clinical data of participants attending the clinics of the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Science and Technology, and private clinics in Sana'a and Ibb cities, within the period from January 2020 to January 2021. This study was conducted on 30 dental casts of prosthetically restored teeth compared with 30 casts of natural teeth. Each cast had 5 images with a total number of 300 images chosen according to specific inclusion and exclusion criteria. Measurments was performed to determine the incisal embrasure of the NMAT and the prosthetically RMAT in mm. Measurements were taken by AutoCAD software version 2020. The study revealed that the incisal embrasure size of the prosthetically restored dentition casts significantly varied from those of the natural dentition casts. Concerning the lateral asymmetry degree, the incisal embrasures of NMAT were significantly greater than those of their corresponding RMAT.
