Software testing is an important and costly phase in the software development life cycle. Many testing tools exist, but selecting suitable tools remains difficult because of the large number of alternatives and selection criteria. This paper proposes a theoretical multi-criteria framework for software testing tool selection by identifying relevant criteria and sub-criteria and organizing them to support systematic tool evaluation.en_US
