The research article and original Mendeley Data record state that the EQTB
development workflow used foundational information from public Quranic and
linguistic resources. This file records important attribution and licensing
information for repository users.

The Tanzil text-license page identifies the Tanzil Quran Text as:
Copyright (C) 2007-2021 Tanzil Project
License: Creative Commons Attribution 3.0

The source also specifies additional conditions for the Quran text, including
that verbatim copies may be distributed but the text itself must not be
changed, that Tanzil must be clearly identified as the source with a link to
tanzil.net, and that the copyright notice must be retained appropriately in
copies or files containing a substantial portion of the text.

Users redistributing files containing Tanzil Quran text should consult and
comply with the current Tanzil license terms.

2. QURANIC ARABIC CORPUS

The Quranic Arabic Corpus license page presents the GNU General Public
License, Version 3 (GPLv3). Users should consult that official license page
for the conditions applicable to material obtained from the Quranic Arabic
Corpus.

The associated EQTB article reports that initial morphological/syntactic
information and partial parse-tree material were sourced from the Quranic
Arabic Corpus during dataset development.

3. COMPREHENSIVE ISLAMIC LIBRARY (SHAMELA)

The associated article reports use of additional linguistic information and
Classical Arabic texts from the Comprehensive Islamic Library in the research
workflow, including material used for embedding training.

No single redistribution license for all Shamela content is asserted in this
notice. Rights may vary by work or resource. Users should consult the
applicable source-specific terms before independently redistributing any
third-party text originating from that service.

4. DATASET-LEVEL LICENSE
------------------------------------------------------------

The original Mendeley Data Version 1 record identifies the Quranic dataset
license as CC BY 4.0:

This dataset-level license should be read together with applicable third-party
rights and attribution requirements. A dataset-level license cannot grant
rights that the dataset contributors do not hold in separately protected
third-party material.

5. ATTRIBUTION PRACTICE FOR THE UST REPOSITORY COPY

The University of Science and Technology repository copy should:

- retain the original dataset DOI;
- identify Mendeley Data Version 1 as the source;
- retain this THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.txt file;
- retain any notices already embedded in the original files;
- avoid removing source acknowledgements or license notices; and
- preserve the original files without substantive alteration when the goal is
  to archive a faithful institutional copy.
